Salary: $13.45 DOQ


FISCAL TECHNICIAN I* (Treasurer’s Office**):  Assists in the processing of tax payments and resolving problems and issues relating to tax payments. Other tasks include but are not limited to: payment processing, utilizing technology to perform assigned tasks, and quality customer service, and resolving problems and issues relating to tax payments.

Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • At least four years experience related to banking teller, customer service and cashiering
    • Knowledgeable in the use of computer operations, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
    • Able to use reason to perform mathematical calculations
    • Strong communication and works well in a team environment
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

*This position serves at the pleasure of an elected official.

**Beaufort County has various facilities within the county, and many departments have multiple offices to serve our citizens.  Management reserves the right to transfer employees from one location to another within the county at any time based on business need.  Employees will be given as much notice as possible prior to a change in work location.
