FINANCE CLERK/Accounts Payable* (Finance Department): Performs basic finance support duties including processing of accounts payable following standard accounting procedures and  established guidelines.  Processes EFT and check payments on a regular basis, confirming validity of payment requests and accuracy in posting payments to appropriate departments or funds.  Processes sales and use tax information as needed.  Assists other departments with billing and payment inquiries. Communicates with vendors as necessary on billing issues.  May assist with other departmental / accounting functions as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school Diploma / GED
  • One (1) year of specialized/technical training
  • One (1) year of experience in A/P or accounting support
  • Knowledge of general ledger reporting techniques and  mathematical concepts
  • Excellent computer, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

 

*Candidates considered for this position will be given a practical examination to   demonstrate the required level of computer proficiency.
