ASSISTANT STORMWATER MANAGER: Responsible for effective operation for Beaufort County’s Stormwater Department. Plans and directs the activities of the Countywide Stormwater Utility. Oversees the planning, design, and construction of stormwater projects for the County. Manages the County’s Municipal Separate Stormsewer System (MS4) permit program. Has fiscal planning responsibilities for the Stormwater Utility and Department operations and capital projects. Directs professional, technical and clerical staff, Answers public complaints about drainage and recommends solutions to County Administration.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering required
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience including supervisory experience preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • South Carolina Professional Engineer Registration or the ability to obtain registration required
  • Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality or similar certificate preferred
