Title: Administrative Assistant - Communications and Accountability

Salary: $13.45 hr


ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Communications and Accountability): As a staff member in the Communications and Accountability Department, the Information Services Coordinator performs tasks as assigned by the Department Head or the Department Head’s designee, including but not limited to, the following: provides basic and accurate information regarding County departments in-person and via phone, and email; as part of a team, operates a multi-line telephone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls on the County’s general line to the appropriate person and office; and maintains and replenishes office supplies as needed.



  • Two (2) years of experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role
  • High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred in field such as business or general studies
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, communication, multi-tasking, time management, computer and keyboarding skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products (specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to type and/or enter data accurately and handle a high volume of telephone calls.
  • Ability to communicate orally by telephone or in person with courtesy, tact, speed and accuracy
  • Hands-on experience with multi-line telephone, copier, scanner, and printer
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
