SOLID WASTE COORDINATOR (Solid Waste/Public Works): Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff, completes employee performance appraisals, interviews and selects new employees and coordinates or conducts staff training activities. Coordinators daily work activities, ensures division compliance, and prepares budget for area of assignment. Performs other related duties as required. 



  • Bachelor’s degree with course work emphasis in business administration, business management, engineering or a related field
  • Supplemented by three (3) years of previous experience and/or training that includes progressively responsible solid waste operations, project management, recycling operations, drop-off center operations, management skills and personal computer operations
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license



All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
