Title: Recreation Aide I - Part Time PALS
Salary: $10.04 hr

RECREATION AIDE I* (Part Time): This is an entry-level position. Under close supervision, assists with various athletic recreational programs and special events administered by Beaufort County Parks and Leisure Services (PALS). Additional responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring recreational facilities, and assisting participants with various activities. Recreational Aides are expected to assist Athletic Supervisors and perform other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to registering participants, overseeing facility rentals, answering telephones, operating score clocks at athletic events, and general clean up after events.
- High school diploma, GED, or student in good standing (must be at least 16 yrs. old)
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Experience in recreation programs, equipment, facilities and events is preferred
- Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
*Beaufort County has various facilities within the county, and many departments have multiple offices to serve our citizens. Management reserves the right to transfer employees from one location to another within the county at any time based on business need. Employees will be given as much notice as possible prior to a change in work location.
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
