Title: Municipal Separate Stormsewer System (MS4) Coordinator

Salary: $22.26 hr


MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORMSEWER SYSTEM (MS4) COORDINATOR (Stormwater Infrastructure): Performs technical work involving compliance with Beaufort County Stormwater Management regulations and MS4 permitting requirements and assists the Stormwater Utility Manager with implementation of the County’s Stormwater program.



  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related scientific (Biology or Chemistry) field from a college or university and a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training. Experience may substitute for education on a year to year basis.
  • Prefer experience in Stormwater management, project management, drainage and BMP construction, hydraulic modeling and water quality modeling.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality™ (CPSWQ®), Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System™ Program Management (CMS4S®), or equivalent program certification is preferred.


All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
