Title: Assistant Operations Manager - Treasurers Office

Salary: $18.22 hr


ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER (Treasurer’s Office*): Assists the Operations Manager in all areas relating to the collection of taxes current and delinquent, including, but not limited to operational staff supervision, planning and participating in tax sales and other collection methods, legal research, and resolving problems and issues relating to tax collection.


  • Associates degree preferred, or two (2) years previous experience in related field; including bank teller or another field with high volume transactions, administrative or secretarial function, a position requiring analytical skills, customer service, personal computer operations to include Microsoft Office and general office equipment
  • Knowledgeable in the use of computer operations, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, and beyond a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Able to use reason to perform mathematical calculations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, works well in a team environment
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

This position works at the pleasure of an elected official. 

*Some Beaufort County departments maintain more than one office location.  Beaufort County reserves the right to transfer employees in both short term and long term capacities to an alternate location at any time for any reason. 

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
