ASSISTANT MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORMSEWER SYSTEM (MS4) COORDINATOR (Stormwater Infrastructure): Performs technical work involving compliance with Beaufort County Stormwater Management plan review from both public and private development projects to ensure compliance with MS4 regulations and requirements. Construction site control program, post-construction management program and County’s Stormwater pollution prevention programs and initiatives, also issues Stormwater permits, coordinates state and federal permitting needs and maintains records and prepares reports.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related scientific (Biology or Chemistry) field. Bachelor’s preferred
  • Two (2) years Stormwater Management experience
  • Prefer experience in Stormwater management plan preparation or review and drainage and BMP construction
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Preferably CEPSCI (Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector) and CSPR (Certified Stormwater Plan Reviewer) certified.

 

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
